The Congress has served the Canadian Polish community for the past 75 years, during which time it has been actively engaged in public policy issues that have concerned the Canadian-Polish community, as well as promoted Polish heritage, culture, language and history across Canada.
Representing over 260 Polish organizations, the Canadian Polish Congress has played an immense role in endorsing the interests of Polonia. Recent initiatives have included: easing the process of pension qualifications for people who have lived in both Canada and Poland, increasing youth mobility between Canada and Poland, establishing the Polish Heritage Project to increase awareness of the influence of Polonia on Canada’s development, and most recently, removing the Visa requirements for Polish citizens visiting Canada.
In order to continue to exceptionally voice and act on the interests of Canada’s Polonia, sustaining and upgrading our head office is essential. All funds raised will help the Congress provide and maintain operational services that play a crucial role in the success of Polonia-related political and cultural pursuits.
