Last week, the Polish Canadian Congress hosted the second Young Polonia Leadership Summit in Ottawa. 30 emerging Polish-Canadian leaders came together to discuss the future of the Polish diaspora in Canada, strengthen collaboration across provinces, and explore pathways for leadership in Canada’s political and civic spheres.

Key discussions included panels on Polish heritage and political journeys, meetings with Members of Parliament, and a celebration of Polish Armed Forces Day hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ottawa. The summit fostered meaningful connections and reinforced our youth’s shared commitment to preserving Polish identity while embracing opportunities for growth and leadership in Canada. It was inspiring to see these young leaders collaborate, build on their ideas and insights, and work toward stronger Polish-Canadian  ties.

Special thanks to the Canadian Polish Congress Youth Committee, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Irek Kusmierczyk MP and the Poland-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group for their support in organizing this impactful summit. We look forward to continuing these important conversations in the future!
