Today in Warsaw, Prime Minister Mark Carney met with the President and Prime Minister of Poland. He announced a strengthened Canada-Poland Strategic Partnership – a new chapter in our countries’ friendship that spans more than 80 years. With over one million Canadians of Polish heritage, this partnership reflects the deep bonds between our countries and the values we share.

The agreement sets the stage for expanded cooperation in trade, clean energy, defence, and advanced technology. From supporting Ukraine and enhancing NATO security, to building new opportunities in critical minerals, nuclear innovation, and aerospace, this partnership looks ahead to the challenges and opportunities of the future.

The Canadian Polish Congress applauds both governments for their vision. We look forward to supporting efforts that will bring tangible benefits to Canadians and Poles alike, strengthening prosperity, security, and community on both sides of the Atlantic.
