The Canadian Polish Congress extends its congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney on his election. We look forward to working with his government to advance issues important to Canada’s 1.2 million-strong Polish community.
We also congratulate Members of Parliament-elect of Polish heritage, including the Hon. Helena Jaczek (Markham—Stouffville), Eleanor Olszewski (Edmonton Centre), Tom Kmiec (Calgary Shepard), and Damien Kurek (Battle River—Crowfoot).
Finally, we thank the outgoing Chair of the Canada Poland Parliamentary Friendship Group, Irek Kusmierczyk (Windsor—Tecumseh), for his dedicated service to Canada and his efforts in strengthening ties between Canada and Poland.
