Congratulations to the Polish communities of Nova Scotia! September marks the second annual Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month, as officially recognized by the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. Many activities are planned. The Polish community of Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton Island is among the oldest in Canada. Polish Nova Scotians have maintained their traditions and sense of community, built bridges with other communities, and made major contributions to all aspects of life in their diverse province. They are known for their hospitality and generosity.
